Catching Up

Most of the blog posts from here on out will be current posts, but I have a few pictures from the last few weeks that I want to post first. Hope you enjoy!

Before we left Utah we were able to get a four generation picture with Aleeyah, Caleb, Caleb's dad, and Caleb's grandparents.

Also, on our drive to Ohio we spent the night in Minnesota with my mother-in-law's parents. It was actually at their home that Aleeyah really mastered the concept of rolling over.

I am so grateful we were able to get these pictures with each of her great grandparents on Caleb's side. Only one of her great grandparents on my side is still living. We were able to take a four generation picture with her in March when we visited South Carolina.
(Gosh darn it, why can't I keep my eyes open for a good picture!)

Oh, I can - It's just when everyone else is looking away! *sigh*

Also before we left Utah we were able to go to West Canyon for one last time with the family and have a dutch oven cookout, campfire marshmallows, singing, and 4-wheeling.

The day we left to drive up to the reunion we went to The Cheesecake Factory to spend a gift card my mom had sent us. We put Aleeyah into a high chair for the first time and this is what she did:
This is new!

What's this?

Can I eat it, Mom?

Om nom nom!

Ooooo!

Whew! That was tiring!

Did I do something wrong?

Hey! What are you laugh at?

Ok, last post for now. As most of you know, Aleeyah HATES the car seat, so we had to come up with creative ways to entertain and keep her busy so she didn't cry for the whole drive. This is one of the ideas Caleb came up with. He hung my phone from the rings that you can attach toys to the car seat with and uploaded at Youtube video and played it for her to keep her busy. You can see in the video how enthralled she was with it (along with her toes).

(I don't know what it is about Blogspot but it doesn't like to let me upload the video I want. I wanted to do a better one of Aleeyah rolling over, but it wouldn't upload that one last night and now it won't let me upload the video that Caleb took in the car where he explained it all... But I guess this one is the second best.)

I will be doing a post with pictures from the family reunion we attended before moving as soon as I get the cd of pictures from Caleb's mom. Hopefully they will come soon and I will have lots more fun pictures to post! Love you all!

Aleeyah's Half Birthday

Wow! It's so hard to believe that Aleeyah is already 6 months old. She is such a cutie and we are so blessed to have her in our home.

Here are a few of her recent developments:

Rolling over:

This one is a blooper

Sitting Up:

Sleeping in her crib:

Eating solids and drinking from a sippy cup:

We also think she might be teething, though we have no real proof yet.
She still takes 3 naps a day (if the schedule permits).

Listening and watching Daddy play the guitar.

Aleeyah and Mommy read over a picture from the LDS Gospel Art Kit everyday. We are also both signed up for summer reading with the local library so we read at least one book every day.

Mostly she is just cuter than cute and we love her so much!

Look for more updates to be posted!
